Free, online tutoring available for K-12 students
South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program,
staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.

Greetings! This is a reminder that this Friday will be a 12:30 dismissal. After school care is available for grades K-5 from 12:30 to 3:00 but you must let the office know by tomorrow if your child will be staying and how they are to get home afterwards. Extra Yard for Teachers
The NFHS, the College Football Playoff Foundation, and the Leola School District are again participating in the Extra Yard for Teachers Program. The purpose of the CFP Foundation lies in supporting Pre-12 education across the country. In support of the CFP Foundation’s primary platform, Extra Yard for Teachers, we shine a spotlight on our work and collaboration to inspire and empower teachers.
The Extra Yard for Teachers game ball will be awarded to a teacher in the Leola School District who goes above and beyond to make a positive impact on our students. Please select one teacher in our school district most worthy of this acknowledgement.
The winning teacher will be awarded a special football, a DonorsChoose.org gift card, and an Extra Yard for Teachers T-shirt in recognition of their outstanding performance. The winning teacher will be acknowledged during halftime of our football game against Ipswich, on September 24th, at NSU's Dacotah Bank Stadium.
Voting ends at 1:00PM on Friday, September 23rd, 2022.

Greetings, Leola Titan Families!
Reminder that our Homecoming Parade is this Friday, September 23rd at 1:00 pm. The route will start at the school and meander down Main Street to end at the CorTrust Bank. All students will be dismissed from the school after the parade. Preschool through 5th grade will be waiting in the Cafetorium for pickup, while junior high and high school students need to tear down their floats before they can leave. Preschool thru 5th grade parents, please communicate with your child's teacher if your child will be picked up, walk home, or ride the bus.
Our home football game will then be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in Aberdeen at NSU's Dacotah Bank Stadium. No activity passes will be honored. Admission is $5.00 for 18 and under and $7.00 for adults. Please call if you have questions. Go TITANS!

Real Dakota Photography will be here on Wednesday, September 14th to take school pictures. All Pre-12 students take pictures even if purchasing photos. Picture packets were sent home on Wednesday, September 7th. Return all picture packet/money to homeroom teacher.

Reminder that Leola School begins, tomorrow, Monday, August 22 @ 8:15 am for preschool through twelfth grade. Breakfast begins at 7:45 am. Please bring back any completed forms to the office. Greetings, Leola Families! Reminder that the Leola School Open House will be on Thursday, Aug. 11 from 4:00-7:00 pm. You can stop in to get your back to school information, visit with teachers and drop off supplies. If you are in band, please bring your instrument and if you are in sports, you can bring in completed physical forms. Note that students in grades 6-12 will get their laptops on the first day of school. Also, students in grades 3-5 will get a school issued binder. Most information is on the Leola School webpage but we are adding more information as we get closer to the start of school which is Monday, Aug. 22nd. We look forward to seeing you!
Also, reminder for fall athletes to bring in physical forms if you have not done so and complete concussion testing with Val. Football for grades 9-12 begins tomorrow.
